Move to More Campaign – attracting capital city dwellers to live and work in rural Australia.

The multimillion-dollar Move to More campaign was launched by Deputy Prime Minister and leader of The Nationals Michael McCormack on the 17th of March 2021,  who said living in a regional, rural, remote, country or coastal community didn’t just bring a better quality of life but the potential of a well-paying job too. – Yep we all know that.

So how can you take advantage of the campaign?

When you advertise you should:

  1. Promote more than just the role – sell the value of the community; the lifestyle; the schools, or perhaps factor in some flexibility.
  2. Make relocation easy – consider covering some of the relocation costs or making arrangements with a local real estate agent for guaranteed accommodation for a six-month period.
  3. Employers should consider a broader solution – offer something that other similar roles do not offer, something unique to your role or business that makes it worthwhile for that good candidate to make the decision to move.
